CPLC - DeColores
CPLC De Colores is a safe home for women and children who have been forced to flee their homes due to domestic violence. Staff is trained to offer a variety of services in Spanish 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Currently, CPLC De Colores is the only domestic violence shelter in the Phoenix area to exclusively offer bilingual and bicultural environment in which women and their children can make the transition from to a lifestyle free of violence.

CPLC De Colores is built upon the commitment to the viability and integrity of the minority and larger communities of Phoenix. Family violence is viewed as the product caused by barriers to equal access in the areas of education, unemployment, under employment, social mobility and personal role definition. From the broader perspectives of sexism and racism, the treatment focus narrows to examine issues of intergenerational family violence and/or family patterns surrounding chemical dependency. Intervention therefore seeks to build upon the strengths of the individual, family and community by bringing together exploration and confirmation of the external and internal limits to personal growth.
